Hugh J. Moore, Jr. is an attorney, of counsel, with Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. He has practiced law in Chattanooga in Chattanooga since 1973, and served as Assistant United States Attorney. He has served on several boards, including the Chattanooga Community Foundation, St. Nicholas School (chair), Chattanooga Symphony and Opera, Chattanooga Bar Association, McCallie Alumni Council, Orange Grove Center (chair), and the Administrative Board of Brainerd United Methodist Church. He served on the board of Friends of the Festival (Riverbend Festival) for more than 20 years, and twice was elected chair of that board.
He and his wife Jean live in Ridgeside, where he was a member of the City Commission. They have two adult daughters, Lela, a freelance writer living in Maplewood, NJ, and Sarah, who works in Chattanooga with AVA as Director of Special Events, including the annual 4 Bridges Arts Festival.
